The Altman Award recognizes outstanding contributions to advancement of international education at UW-La Crosse in three categories:

University Service (UWL faculty/staff/department)- Past recipients include Hongying Xu, Campus Police, Nathan Schlavensky & Abby Wojahn, Virginie Cassidy, It Make$ Cents, Vernell Glenn, Heather Holm, David Anderson, UWL Information Technology Services, and Jim Jorstad

Community Service (UWL affiliated or community member) - Past recipients include Tammy Fisher, La Crosse Hampton Inn & Suites, Beth Franklin, La Crosse Public Library, Global Initiatives Week Planning Committee, Ale Quartiroli, Ayesha Patnaik, Troy Harcey from the La Crosse School District, Ron Kind, and Ron Rada

The Wimberly Award recognizes an outstanding UWL/community individual or organization that has contributed to the development of long term excellence in international programming at UW-La Crosse.  Some past recipients include Lisbeth Reynertson, Marcie Wycoff-Horn, Tim McAndrews, Scott Cooper, Academic Programs International (API), Mao Zheng, Carl Foster, Liz Arnold from Global Partners, UW-La Crosse Budget Office, and CEA study abroad company.

Distinguished Legacy Award for International Education honors distinguished individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the development of international programs, fostered enduring connections between the local and international communities, and continued to provide unwavering support to staff and initiatives long after stepping down from their official roles. Past recipients include Jay Lokken.
